On the Netflix political thriller “House of Cards,” Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) is a hardnose reporter willing to sleep with anyone, including the House Majority Whip, to get the big scoop. According to a recent interview with HOC actress Robin Wright, Barnes’ sleaziness is a common trait among reporters in Washington D.C.

Wright, who plays Claire Underwood, the conniving wife of Kevin Spacey’s equally conniving Frank Underwood, sat down with Capitol File magazine to discuss her time on the show.
The 47-year-old actress claimed that she has an unnamed White House source who informed Wright of the unsavory tendencies of D.C. reporters.
“Oh, yeah,” the actress said when asked if reporters sleep with sources as well as members of Congress.
“D.C. is more corrupt than Hollywood. It really is. It’s more sleazy than Hollywood… how much infidelity goes on.”
