On Sunday, the princes and Prime Minister of Canada came together to lay poppies and a pair of soldiers boots at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France. The palace documented the ceremony on their official Instagram page.

“The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, accompanying The Prince of Wales, today attended the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge in France. Their Royal Highnesses were joined by the Governor General of Canada, the President of France François Hollande and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau,” the caption read.
The ceremony honored and remembered Canadian soldiers who were killed or wounded during the battle in 1917.
