It was a scary morning for diners at a waterfront restaurant when it gave way unexpectedly.

The restaurant, Milano’s On The Lake collapsed into Lake Macquarie in New South Wales on Monday. According to firefighters, poles and piers underneath the building gave way causing it to sink into the water.

” Everyone is ok, just here with emergency services now,” the restaurant posted with an aerial shot of the damage on their Facebook page.
Two people were inside at the time and managed to escape unharmed.
