That’s how much a judge has ordered Spacey to pay. The actor was removed from the show as the result of sexual misconduct allegations.

Spacey appealed the decision, only to have it overturned.

He initially denied the accusations, that centered around misconduct with crew members. His lawyers referring to his behavior as little more than “sexual innuendos” and “horseplay” but little else.

The defense team went on to insist that Spacey did not violate MRC entertainment company’s sexual harassment policy.

The judge was not buying it.

Judge Mel Red Recana saw things quite differently. She told Spacey and his legal team that they failed “demonstrate that this is even a close case, ordering Spacey to pay the $31 million to MRC.

Spacey, 63, portrayed politician Frank Underwood on House of Cards for five seasons before being dropped due to the allegations. He is now facing a civic case, brought by actor Anthony Rapp, in New York in October.

Per Nation News: “The original filings from MCR, obtained by the PA news agency, showed how Spacey was cut from the hit Netflix political drama series following allegations he was ‘systematically preying upon, sexually harassing, and groping young men that he had worked with throughout his career on film, television, and theatre projects.'”
