On “CBS Sunday Morning,” a remarkable exchange took place between Fox News anchor Sean Hannity and legendary newsman Ted Koppel. The two were discussing the great American political divide and Koppel told Hannity, to his face, that he believes Hannity is bad for America.
“You think I’m bad for America,” Hannity said to Koppel.
“Yeah,” Koppel responded.
“Really?” Hannity said, smiling and shaking his head. “That’s sad, Ted. That’s sad.”

“Because you’re very good at what you do,” Koppel said, fending off attempts by Hannity to interrupt. “You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.”
Well, it didn’t end there. Hannity got upset because, of course, CBS edited down the lengthy interview to fit that segment of the show in its broadcast window. Hannity said his rebuttal, which included plenty to say about liberal bias in the media, fell on the cutting-room floor, and the Fox News man was not happy about it.

So Hannity took his argument to Twitter where he grilled CBS for “fake edited news.”

Hannity, a man in journalism who continually insists that journalism is dead, then dared CBS to release the full 45-minute interview “so people can see the BS games you play in the edit room.”
