Not-so-fancy Nancy

We all know Obamacare is right around the corner. For some, it is already here.

Mothers and fathers across the nation are wondering where to trim their already-lean budgets to accommodate rising health-care premiums. And for some otherwise proud, hard-working Americans, food stamps are looking pretty tempting as letters of termination due to rising healthcare costs trickle in.

But everything will be OK because Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., says so. During a CNN interview with Candy Crowley — who asked the congresswoman whether Obamacare will, as liberal union leader James Hoffa Jr. said, “destroy the foundation of the 40-hour-work week?” — Ms. Pelosi said Americans will now have the freedom to “pursue [their] happiness.”

Her response has to be the most ignorant insensitive thing any politician has uttered in years — aside from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi faux pas. The longtime congresswoman said “[Obamacare] is a liberation, this is life — healthy life — liberty, the freedom to pursue your happiness, which could be follow you passion for good…”

To say to Obamacare employment casualties that the health-care law is a “liberation” is disgraceful. If one’s happiness is to earn a full-time paycheck, I guess he or she is out of luck. Not to mention, most things that make people happy often involve money — something people will have a lot less of thanks to President Obama and Senate Democrats. Ms. Pelosi’s words will fall on incredulous ears and bring no comfort to anyone. I thought liberals cared for the worker and are the sensitive ones? But no — that’s just as false as saying Democrats are shrewd with taxpayer money.

Ms. Pelosi’s statement show the donkey’s real hue.

Yet there is something that cannot be passed over — that is, she never denied that the reduction of hours isn’t happening. All we got from her is that Democrats in Congress are “working” on it and that “there is only so much the president can do within the law.” How reassuring.

So, why are the Democrats hellbent on keeping Obamacare if it is hurting so many? How many Democrats have come out and actually proposed alterations of Obamacare to make it “work” better? You would think if people are already losing hours and getting fired that those who serve the public would try to change something about Obamacare, yet, nothing from the Democrats. The reason they are hellbent is because Obamacare is doing exactly what it is meant to do; it is the Rosetta Stone for government control and a single-payer system. People will be out of work, on food stamps, welfare, and any government program in order to make ends meet. They will be a slave to the federal government who feeds them, educates them, pays for their healthcare, housing and the list goes on and on. All they ask in return is that Americans vote themselves more money from the rest of America in order to keep the Democratic elite in power.

But who are the ones trying to do something? People like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Ohio) and other tea-party leaning politicians are doing their best to get rid of this monstrosity. It is an uphill battle conservatives wage persuading Americans of the faults of Obamacare while the mainstream media suppresses insensitive remarks like Ms. Pelosi’s. But, like a fat kid suppressing a whoopee cushion, such things often cause a stir. It is a shame that the people who are actually doing everything in their power to help the American people are laughed at and criticized. Yet, the ones who cannot wait to shove this down our throats and say such absurd comments are praised as the heroes. They are praised for killing jobs. And to think, Obamacare isn’t even fully implemented yet.
