46 percent of Americans now describe healthcare as a “hardship”

Whether the Affordable Care Act made healthcare more affordable is debatable at best—and whether it made life easier is unlikely, too. Investor’s Business Daily reports (emphasis added):

According to Gallup, public approval of ObamaCare dropped to a record low of 37% at the end of 2014. The latest RealClearPolitics average of polls shows that 51% of Americans oppose the law.

That shouldn’t be a surprise. For a full year, individuals have had to deal with canceled plans, premium shocks, higher deductibles and narrow networks of health care providers — all thanks to ObamaCare.

Forty-six percent of Americans now describe health costs as a “hardship,” up from 36% in 2013.

Meanwhile, in an ironic twist, several of the very representatives who helped Obamacare make it through Congress are now asking the Obama Administration to allow a special extra enrollment period for uninsured taxpayers this year so they can avoid the expensive fines. If only they’d figured out that fines really suck about—oh, I don’t know—five years ago?
