After selling $80 in pot to an undercover officer, Andrew Sadek had two options before him: go to jail for 20 years for selling weed in a school zone or turn criminal informant and work with the police.

In June 2013, Sadek, a 20-year-old student at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head.
In late January, the North Dakota’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation found that nothing wrong had been done in the way Sadek’s case was handled.
Even though the organization has been exonerated in any connection to Sadek’s death, his friends and family are still blaming the bureau for the choice their son was essentially forced to make.
“He was murdered and this [report] actually reinforces that in our minds,” Sadek’s mother told KFGO, condemning the bureau for preying on college kids to do their jobs for them.
“We know that, and we know they’re not even looking at anything….Did somebody he was trying to get for them do it? Or somebody he already got?”
