The officers in West Jakarta burned the weed, Antimedia reports. And while police themselves were prepared for the smoke (gas masks and all), they weren’t prepared for the smoke to waft into the neighborhood nearby. Residents and journalists reported headaches as a result.
Police also destroyed confiscated ecstacy and crystal meth, but it’s unclear how those drugs were disposed of, or if they were included in this incident.
