“Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?”
That’s right, the world has needed this official information for quite some time, as we all aren’t sure whether to rank the Bruce Willis classic among the all-time greatest holiday flicks. That is because we’re not sure if it’s an actual holiday flick — or just a great action movie.
Well, the issue seems to be have to put rest after TMZ caught up with Willis’ daughters, Rummer and Scout.
“Hey girls, how are you doing? Good to see you,” the TMZ reporter began as she approached the sisters. “Listen, I just have one simple question — the whole world has always had this huge debate, and I wonder, does the Willis —”
The reporter couldn’t even finish the sentence.
“It’s a Christmas movie,” Scout interrupted.
“It’s a Christmas movie?” the reporter repeated.
“It’s a Christmas movie,” Scout said again, before turning toward her vehicle.
The reporter then asked how Bruce Willis was doing health-wise, but seemed to understand no response was coming.
Willis’ health update
Willis, 67, is suffering from aphasy ia, or the loss of ability to understand or express speech, the family revealed this past spring.
Die Hard was released in 1988, starring Alan Rickman, Bruce Willis, Bonnie Bedelia, and Alexander Godunov. The movie was so successful, grossing $140 million becoming the year’s highest-grossing action film and tenth highest-grossing film. The film received four Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Effects Editing, and Best Sound.
In March, Willis’ family members reveals on social media that the 67-year-old was diagnosed with aphasia, which is a disorder that caused a person to struggle to express and understand language. They also announced the actor was stepping away from his career, retiring after years of being a successful movie star.
