Car Plunges Into Baltimore Inner Harbor (Video)

Authorities responded to an emergency call in downtown Baltimore City today for a vehicle that had plunged into the inner harbor.

We do not know if anybody was harmed during this incident as of yet, as it is a developing story.

WBAL reported…

A car went into the water Wednesday afternoon at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

Firefighters and fire boats responded to a car in the water in the area of 700 East Pratt Street, according to the Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734.

The fire union reports the car’s occupants are out of the water and paramedics are checking for injuries.

This is all happening in the busiest part of the city. In the middle of a work week, a guaranteed traffic disaster for everybody traveling in the area.

At this time of year, being submerged in this frigid water for any amount of time would surely be deadly. We are praying for the driver and that they were able to escape.

For anybody that has ever been around the harbor, the thought of being in that water is quite troubling. Not the cleanest body of water.

We will update this story as it continues to develop. Let us pray that everybody involved is ok. How can something like this happen?
