If you were closely paying attention to season 4 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, you may have noticed a brief scene. Milo Ventimiglia plays a mysterious and handsome man who give flowers to Midge. They’re in a park, Milo gives her some flowers. The two are laughing and smiling, and then they hook up. Suddenly, they’re interrupted by the wife of Milo’s character (so far dubbed as “Handsome Man” in the credits).

It’s flirtatious, fleeting, and basically inexplicable.
But as it turns out, this is all on purpose. Milo’s character will return for season 5, and this time we’ll learn what his character’s name is.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s writers once admitted that Milo was perfect for the role. In an interview with TVLine in June 2021, they said, “it’s actually a very different thing we’re doing with him. We needed someone of his caliber and his handsomeness, so we asked Milo to do it. But you have to see it in the context.”
Writers and Executive Producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino already knew Milo from his work on Gilmore Girls. Additionally, it looks like there is an original point to the tease of a scene. Of course, we don’t know what it is yet.
On what we can expect, Daniel Palladino says, “We will see a nice, more extensive Part 2 to ‘Milo and Rachel.”
The final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel started shooting in New York City this past February. No release date has been given yet for the Prime series.
