Sons of Anarchy star Maggie Siff is a bit of an enigma. She’s been a familiar face on SOA (Tara Knowles), Mad Men (Rachel), and Billions (Wendy), but she steers clear from social media. She’s married to Paul Ratliff, who happens to be a man of many hats. The couple has quite a unique love story — here is what we know.

How Maggie Siff and Husband Paul Ratliff Met
According to CBS Watch, Maggie Siff and Paul Ratliff courted each other through email before falling in love. They married in October of 2012, while Maggie was still shooting Sons of Anarchy. For their first wedding anniversary, Paul presented Maggie with all of their email correspondence printed and bound as a book.
Maggie Siff and Paul Ratliff got pregnant with their first and only child in 2013. Their daughter’s name is Lucy, and she was born in April 2014. The family of three currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
Who is Paul Ratliff?
Paul was born on January 23, 1944, in San Diego, California. He got a BA in fine arts from Wesleyan University in 1988. His focus was on film and theatre. He actually played a couple of minor roles in film and TV prior to getting his BA. He played a bartender on General Hospital and a naval officer in the film To Be or Not to Be, both in 1983, the year before he entered into Wesleyan.
It wasn’t until after Paul married his famous wife, Maggie Siff, that he decided to pursue a graduate degree in psychotherapy. He entered into Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2015. In 2018, he graduated with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology.
Paul is currently a psychotherapist who specializes as a marriage and family therapist.
Paul Was a Major League Baseball Player
But before getting into the mental health field, he was out on the baseball field. Yes, the man of many hats actually used to be a baseball player for the Minnesota Twins and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Paul Ratliff was the catcher for the Minnesota Twins in 1963 and from 1970-1971. He played for the Brewers from 1971 to 1972. He was signed onto the Twins straight out of Pasadena High School in the 60s. However, he only played 10 games before getting demoted to the minor league. He played for the Twins again in the 70s in the American League Championship Series before he was traded to the Brewers.
In the 80s, Paul actually appeared in several episodes of Cheers as a baseball player.
So, Paul was a baseball player, an actor, and now is a successful psychotherapist and marriage counselor. He’s also worked as a design strategist, research specialist, and innovative consultant.
Paul Ratliff’s net worth is estimated to be between $300,000 and $1 million, although it’s hard to truly know because he’s managed to fly under the radar.
Maggie Siff and Paul Ratliff Are Both Multifaceted, Talented Individuals
Maggie Siff’s net worth, on the other hand, is estimated to be about $8 million. She’s earned that from her stand-out career as a very detailed actress. She has a unique ability to tap into her character’s psyches and isn’t afraid to portray the darker side of human consciousness. When you think about it, she and Paul sound kind of perfect for each other.
And Paul has stood by Maggie Siff over the years, helping her make time to continue her acting career after Lucy was born. Maggie auditioned for Billions in 2014 after giving birth to their daughter.
The Sons of Anarchy actress told CBS Watch that she’s up for just about anything in the acting world and could even see herself branching out (like her husband).
“I want to do it all,” she said. “Film, television, theater. Theater is much more intense because you get to use all the tools, physical, vocal. You’re in real time; nobody’s editing your performance. It’s very taxing, too—there’s a liminal quality; you feel sometimes as if you’re about to go over to another dimension. I’m truly interested in acting. I’ve always thought if I had another career, it would be teaching acting.”
