He didn’t watch it, but he had people tell him what Chris said,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s everywhere when you look online and on social media, so Will and Jada have seen comments about it.”

Chris Rock Ready to ‘Move On’ From Will Smith Drama

Following the incident at the Oscars, Smith uploaded a heartfelt video on YouTube apologizing to Rock for the altercation on stage. This apology came after Smith had already issued a written statement on Instagram the day after the Academy Awards. A source revealed that Smith has asked Rock to move on from the issue, given that he has served a 10-year ban from the Oscars. The source also disclosed that Smith is angry with Netflix for providing Rock with a platform to air his views.

“Will is also upset that Netflix was a part of this and thinks Chris insulting Jada again is below the belt,” the source went on to add. “He is upset that Netflix gave Chris this platform to share these messages and thinks it’s distasteful.”

Will Smith’s Apology

According to another source, Rock is ready to move on now that he’s addressed the Oscar slap for the first time. “He said everything he wanted to say,” the source told Entertainment Tonight. “It was funny, self-deprecating, and thought-provoking. Now, “Chris is ready to move on.”

Rock performed his comedy special “Selective Outrage” in Baltimore, Maryland, which happens to be the hometown of Jada Pinkett Smith. During the show, Rock touched on several subjects, including “woke culture,” the Oscars incident involving Smith, and Meghan Markle’s allegations of racism within the British royal family.
