TAYLOR COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

If you’re a teacher at a Christian school, two things are probably a no-no. That would be sexting and twerking.

But one teacher at a Florida Christian school did both.

And in not-so-shocking developments, the teacher is no longer employed. Worse, the teacher got arrested for what was deemed inappropriate behavior.

Julie Hoover, a former teacher at Point of Grace Christian School in Perry, Fla., was led away in handcuffs for both engaging in lewd conduct with a student and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, as relayed by the New York Post.

This was the second such arrest for Hoover, 39. The first came back in June, when she was charged with one count of an authority figure soliciting or engaging in sex with a student. The crime? Sexting with a senior.

But back to the here and now. Along with exchanging explicit texts, the student told authorities that Hoover suggestively danced up against him (or “twerked,” as Miley Cyrus would call it) and forced him to drink alcohol at prom on April 8.

As relayed by the Post:

“He told investigators he became so uncomfortable while she twerked on him that other students tried to squeeze in between the then-teacher and the boy several times to try to get her to stop. At least two students who stepped in corroborated the incident, WCTV reported.”

She even made the student take a drink from her straw, which was placed in an alcoholic beverage, the student said.

As for the sexting, well, that was discovered by the kid’s mom when she went through his phone.

An anonymous school official basically confirmed the reports as factual.

“Mrs. Hoover is a former teacher with Point of Grace Christian,” the official wrote in a statement, via WCTV. “We will not provide further information on her employment or departure from our school.

“The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office informed us of the allegations against Mrs. Hoover, and we have cooperated with the investigation. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not comment any further at this time.”
