Pajama Batman wasn’t the hero Cape Coral deserved, but it was the one they needed.

The masked vigilante wasn’t roaming the streets in his Batman pajamas when he found felons to foil. Instead, Kyle Myvett was getting himself ready for bed. Just as he was going to get under the duvet and catch some Z’s, his intruder alarm went off.
What happened: So, still wearing his Batman pajamas, he went to investigate what was going on. He found that, as per his alarm, his car had already been broken into. But the thief was still around, looking for more loot. Kyle, emboldened by his outfit, decided to take matters into his own hands.
He spotted the thief next door, now in his neighbor’s garage. Kyle called the police before stepping into action.
Batman In Pajamas Already Has Everything Under Control
By the time the police arrived, Kyle, still wearing his Batman pajamas, had detained the burglar and was keeping him for the police. Handing him over, Kyle decided not to disappear off into the night and posed for a few photos.
What He Stole: The thief was identified, as he was already well enough known to the police. He was found to have stolen two pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses valued at $300 each, cash, a woman’s wristlet, and more than $500 in gift cards.
All the items were recovered, and the thief was arrested and charged. I don’t think he expected Batman in pajamas to bring his robbing spree to an end.
According to the police status update on Facebook, the man will be facing multiple charges.
- 2 counts of Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance (Unarmed), a 3rd Degree Felony.
- 2 counts of Petit Theft Under $750, a 1st Degree Misdemeanor.
- 1 count of Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling, a 2nd Degree Felony.
Kyle, the Batman in pajamas, says that he was already wearing the outfit when he went out to apprehend the burglar. But, something tells me that the man saw an opportunity to do something hilarious. With a little extra time, he could, very well, have been able to justify his superhero onesie purchase.
