On Tuesday, Sept. 30, fire services responded to a small blaze at 46-year-old Brittany Guard’s home. On arrival, they quickly doused the flames, but on further inspection, found the homeowner absent. Her car and her purse were still in the house. Her family is worried about her whereabouts. The Indiana mom had simply gone missing without any warning.
Not Like Her: The family claims there was no prior warning to her disappearance. It was completely unlike her to vanish like that, without her car or purse. The small fire, as well as her absence, is very suspicious.
- “How does someone just go missing these days? It doesn’t make any sense,” her sister said to WRTV. “I feel like there’s something here bigger that we don’t know and someone knows something.”
It was when the Indiana mom didn’t turn up to a volleyball game that her family noticed she had gone missing. She was a regular at the games and would have told someone if she wasn’t going to be there.
- “She was supposed to be at her daughter’s volleyball game. Wasn’t there. And then there’s a fire. Her car is at home, her purse is at home. She’s nowhere to be found, and the house is on fire. It makes no sense,” her sister said.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are treating the house fire and the missing Indiana mom as suspicious. They have been investigating her disappearance and various searches are underway. The family has been scouring the woods local to her house, but to no avail. Now, they are posting up missing posters everywhere they can. They won’t give up until she is found.
- “Be vigilant. Look around. Search your brain. If you have a camera on your house or something, go back and look at it and see if you saw something different that night.”
The police are investigating the cause of the small house fire in the woman’s house. They are currently compiling evidence to try to uncover what could have possibly happened. At present, they have very little to go on.
