When most people imagine plane crashes, they imagine them falling from the sky. However, this collision occurred on the ground. People were in shock after witnessing 2 Delta jets collide at LaGuardia Airport.

The Details: People Magazine shares some details surrounding the collision.
- Delta Airlines confirmed that two of its jets collided at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
- The collision occurred on October 1, shortly before 10 p.m.
- The aircraft were both CRJ-900 regional jets and hit one another at “low speed” while taxiing.
2 Delta Jets Collide At LaGuardia Airport
The outlet reported that one of the flights had just arrived from Charlotte, North Carolina, while the other was set to depart for Roanoke, Virginia. During the collision, the right wing of one plane clipped the nose of the other plane.
Although the planes were damaged in the collision, reports have not indicated that any of the passengers were injured. Unfortunatley, ABC News shared that while no passengers were injured, one of the cabin crew was. Luckily, the injury was minor, and the individual was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
Although 2 Delta jets collided, the collision had no impact on any other flights that evening.

People Magazine shared a piece of Delta’s statement regarding the matter. The statement is as follows.
- “Delta will work with all relevant authorities to review what occurred, as the safety of our customers and people comes before all else. We apologize to our customers for the experience.”
