The Background Details: The LadBible shares the details of this harrowing experience.
- Peter Colville was enjoying his holiday with 10 family members in Alanya, Turkey.
- Among the family members were Colville’s children and grandchildren.
- The group opted for a luxury pirate ship excursion.
The family boarded the “Legend Big Kral” together, expecting a great time. After all, the excursion promised “snorkeling opportunities with a foam party.” Who wouldn’t enjoy that? Colville and his family boarded the cruise along with approximately 600 other eager guests.
Pirate Ship Excursion Turns Tragic As Man Dies

During the group’s second swim of the day, at Cleopatra Beach, Colville went missing. Naturally, his family was concerned. Wales Online reported that it was other swimmers who found Colville lying in the water face-up and unconscious.
- Those swimmers dragged Coville to the deck of the pirate ship and began administering CPR.
- Coville’s daughter, Nakita, argued that the boat staff were “unbothered and clueless” and simply “stood there watching”while the passengers worked to save her father’s life.
- From there, Nakita shares that the barman declared her father dead and placed a towel over his body and face.
Shortly afterward, the Coast Guard arrived and transferred Coville to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead. His family was also removed from the pirate ship.
Eyewitnesses Were Appalled: As if eyewitnesses were not already appalled by the staff’s lack of urgency in the situation, they were further disgusted by their actions. According to Natkita, she was told that the staff simply brushed her father’s death off. When speaking with the outlet about what happened after her father and her family left the boat, she had this to say:
- “Other guests were screaming and crying, and my family was hysterical. We were living the worst moments of our lives, but as soon as we were taken off, the crew just apologised to guests because the foam party was delayed.”
‘My Dad Deserved To Be Treated With Respect’
According to unverified sources, those who remained on the boat reported that the remainder of the luxury pirate cruise continued as if nothing had happened. Staff members apologized for the delay, as if it was caused by a simple storm, and moved forward as if a man had not just lost his life. Nakita responded with the following sentiments.
- “My dad was the loveliest dad and grandad, and he deserved to be treated with respect – and he wasn’t.”
- “We can’t say it was the company’s fault that he died, but maybe he could’ve been saved – and how it was dealt with was awful.”
