After it emerged that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had been accused of multiple felonies, including sex trafficking, rape, and drugging, his empire began to crumble. A man who was once the face of hip hop is quickly becoming untouchable in the worst possible way. As the lawsuit continues, his value is being devastated.

At the peak of his financial success, Sean Combs was worth a staggering $825 million, according to Forbes. This was in 2018, before the allegations were brought forward. In 2024, just two months after his arrest, his value had dropped by more than half to $400 million.

As the lawsuits and criminal indictment continue, more people pull away from the former hip-hop producer. Already, he has lost such deals as Ciroc, which apparently netted him a billion dollars since becoming the face of the brand in 2017. Even Macy’s, the store that exclusively sold his sportswear brand, has pulled out of their deal with him.

Before Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs even begins to start paying for the various civil lawsuits that have come of his accusation, his empire is already being gutted.

The Cost Of Combs’ Crimes

Despite allegedly more than 50 civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault, rape, drugging, and other forms of violence, Combs still pleads not guilty. He has been found guilty in court of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but has been acquitted on the more serious charges.

Both of the charges Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been found guilty of carry a maximum sentence of only 10 years. He is potentially looking at a sentence of 20 years, although his legal team expects it to be a lot lower.

So, let’s say Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs only does a handful of years? What does he come out to? Will there be anything left? Eric Schiffer summed up what would be in store for the hip-hop mogul after his conviction.

“If they stamp him guilty, that dynasty turns into a yard sale. An acquittal might clear ankle chains, but sync licensers will treat his catalog like a radioactive dirty bomb.” To add to this, come the various civil lawsuits.

These, unlike the guilty charges, will be individuals seeking a payout for the damages done by Diddy. There are more than 50 people who have come forward and filed lawsuits. Some estimations claim there are around 300.

The restitution he will pay for the two guilty convictions is one thing. The civil lawsuits may end up completely obliterating the remainder of his empire.

“Now that this spectacle is over, we look forward to aggressively pursuing these civil cases to obtain justice for these alleged victims,” attorney Tony Buzbee, the man responsible for heading up many of the cases, said in a statement.

Diddy’s Deep Pockets

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is not a poor man by any stretch of the imagination. However, his finances are still limited. He owns property, both intellectual and brick and mortar. But, as far as making more money goes, he’s out of luck. As mentioned before, his name is dirt, and nobody will work with him again.

He may be able to pay off some of the successful civil lawsuits, but the Diddy empire is probably finished.
