Getting into a police chase is already a ballsy move, but stopping midway through for gas before escaping is wild.

Footage from a police helicopter shows the man pulling his car into the Shell gas station in Wilshire, Los Angeles. He hops out, clearly on the phone, and begins pumping his fuel. With a mask over his face, he cannot be identified.
For over a minute, he fills his car with gas while the police search nearby. Despite there being a police helicopter overhead, the police are unable to locate where the man has gone. He takes his time and gets ready to continue the police chase.
Despite looking very suspicious with his t-shirt pulled over his face and rushed demeanour, a biker sitting beside him notices nothing wrong. Running from one of the pumps to his passenger side door, he paces back and forth, risking it all for a few more gallons.
He has time to get the gas he needs before rejoining the police chase. Despite stopping, filling up his car, and finishing a phone call, he still doesn’t get caught.
A Great Gas Escape
Refueled and ready to go, the man takes off from the gas station, leaving the pump lying on the floor. He heads back out into the Los Angeles highways while the police continue their vain search. However, he still has a helicopter overhead.
Due to his face mask and presumably stolen car, his identity isn’t known. He also didn’t make the mistake of paying for his fuel with a card, thankfully. So, he is still a mystery man.
To escape from the helicopter, the man takes his car under a bridge. It can be seen, on the helicopter camera, rolling under the overpass. Then, nothing. Police cars finally turn up at the location where the man seemingly vanished. But all they find is his car. He used the cover of the overpass to ditch his gas-filled vehicle and run.
He has not been identified and has not been taken into custody. The most ballsy man ever was able to fill up at a gas station and still escape a police chase without breaking a sweat.
