The Details: Georgia Taylor began to develop a myriad of unusual symptoms.
- It all started with a rash that began on her fingers.
- From there, the rash spread up her arms and continued on to her face.
- With a swollen face and a body covered in a mysterious rash, Taylor decided to visit a GP.
The doctor believed that Taylor’s reaction was a response to an allergy and prescribed antihistamines and hydrocortisone. Unfortunately, the medication had no effect, and the rash continued to worsen.
Woman Died Of Mystery Illness
After the first doctor, LadBible shares that Taylor’s family did not give up. When her swelling did not subside, the 24-year-old checked herself into “A&E a few days later.” Additionally, the young woman had begun to feel short of breath.
- Taylor’s stats came back fine, so this facility also discharged her with nothing but more antihistamines.
- Taylor and her family opted to go on a week-long trip to Greece, despite Taylor’s lingering symptoms.
- It was during her trip that her symptoms began to worsen even further.
The Decline: During her trip, the young woman seemed to be in good spirits but complained of “a niggling pain in her right calf.” After making this complaint, she found that she could barely walk the next day. While the swelling of her face had subsided, this new symptom was alarming.
Nevertheless, Taylor combated it with some ibuprofen and painkillers and eventually flew home with the rest of her family after their trip. She appeared to be doing well once they landed in the UK again. Furthermore, she even opted to go out with friends the following weekend; however, the good times did not last.
- After that weekend, she awoke with her leg in agony.
- Her mother scheduled a physio appointment, which led to her being rushed to the hospital.
- Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the young woman died of the mystery illness.
Her cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
