A mother and daughter in Antlers, Oklahoma decided they would throw down in the middle of a busy highway. Unsurprisingly, they were hit by a truck. One died, and the other is in critical condition.
Family Feud: Getting into it with family members sometimes goes beyond the pale. There are a few people it’s easier to get into a screaming argument with than your nearest and dearest. However, there is a time and a place to start fighting with family, and the middle of a highway isn’t the one.
- But, despite their dangerous surroundings, Heather Linn-Schutt, 46, and her daughter Emma Marie Linn decided that the northbound lane of State Highway 2 was where they would settle their family dispute. While they were busy hammering out their important battle, a pickup truck barreled down the highway.

As the mom and daughter continued fighting, they missed the truck speeding towards them. The driver failed to avoid them and hit them both. The daughter was killed on the scene, and her mom was grievously wounded.
- Heather was transported to the Plano, Texas, hospital for “serious injuries to her lower extremities.” It is unclear how she is faring at the moment, but it appears her injuries are severe and life-changing.
The cause of the argument is unknown. However, whatever it was that the mom and daughter were fighting about, I can guarantee it wasn’t worth getting hit by a truck over. Why they chose this place to get into their argument is anyone’s guess.
Always Wear A Seatbelt: Despite hitting the two women, the driver of the truck was unhurt. They were wearing a seatbelt at the time. However, they may come away from the ordeal physically okay, but the psychological impact of hitting two women on the road will be profound. Having to live knowing they had inadvertently killed someone will stick with them forever.
