The alleged stalker became obsessed with the child influencer after watching her videos online. He developed an unhealthy fascination with her, and according to the police began online stalking. Over the period of months, he allegedly sent her reams of inappropriate materials.

The investigation found that over the course of three months, he had sent her foul emails, nude pictures of himself, and had been obsessively messaging the child. And, eventually, he decided to take it a step further.

Using the material he had online from the content she uploaded, he was able to find out her location. He decided that he would travel the 1,000 miles from his home in Pennsylvania to Florida to meet the child.

Alleged Stalker Went 1,000 Miles To End Up At Her Door

Jarred Easter, 29, eventually made the journey to stalk his online influencer obsession. He travelled 1,000 miles and finally ended up at her home, where he confronted her father. He was allegedly fully convinced that he was in a relationship with the child.

As a result of his obsessive stalking, he was arrested. He has since been charged with numerous counts of sending harmful material to a minor, traveling to meet a minor for sex, and using a computer to solicit a child.

“This was a sick-minded individual who convinced himself he had a relationship with a child,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson in a statement. “We are grateful the victim wasn’t harmed, and we are working tirelessly to ensure there are no other victims connected to this predator. Perverts who cross state lines to target children will find themselves in handcuffs.”

Although the man was obviously completely wrong to stalk the child online influencer across 1,000 miles of the US, some responsibility is on the parents. She was only 14 and had full access to social media. It was enough for her to be considered an influencer, and all the degradation that comes along with it.

Even adults exposed to influencer-level social media will often back out due to the vitriol. There are plenty of weirdos and sick people out there.

The alleged stalker was issued a $250,000 bond and ordered not to have access to the internet or be near minors.
