  • Police officers found an adult male, 34-year-old Robert Taylor, at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
  • The news release notes that no students were involved in the incident, which officers believe started on the road. Authorities detained 45-year-old Jason Bartik and formally charged him with murder after an investigation.
  • Frisco Police stated there was no ongoing threat to the public, and an investigation was ongoing.

An Arrest Warrant Reveals More Details About The Road Rage Incident

A deadly escalation: A report by NBC DFW sheds more light on the altercation, citing an arrest warrant. Bartik reportedly told officers he ‘brake-checked’ Taylor, who was allegedly tailgating him on the Dallas North Tollway.

  • Bartik claims Taylor followed him into the Frisco High School parking lot, exited his vehicle, then “approached his driver’s side window, yelling at him.” The arrest warrant reportedly states that Taylor then reached into the car and punched Bartik in the face. He responded by firing his weapon “at least twice.”
  • Frisco Police have asked anyone with information to get in touch.

Another fatal road rage incident: Authorities arrested a teen from Arizona last month after he allegedly struck his brother with his vehicle.

  • The collision occurred after the brothers got into an argument with another driver, a 36-year-old male. He allegedly threatened the brothers with a knife. Authorities did find a blade at the scene, but could not confirm who it belonged to.
  • A probable cause statement claims that one of the teens got into a physical fight with the 36-year-old. The other teen allegedly attempted to drive the car into the man, but struck his brother instead.
  • Many details about the incident remain unclear, as no surveillance cameras pointed at the parking lot where the altercation occurred.
