Kathryn Dennis of Southern Charm fame has only made things worse for herself by being sentenced for a DUI involving three vehicles and plenty of Fireball whiskey.

On May 20, 2024, Kathryn Dennis got herself into a wreck. Bystanders at the scene noted that the Southern Charm star wasn’t looking particularly sober. But, after a car accident, being a little dazed would be expected. However, police at the scene needed to do their due diligence.
- One officer on the scene noted that Dennis had an unopened mini bottle of Fireball on the floor of the passenger side. There was also an empty Stanley Cup beside it. That, along with her reported glossy look and smell of alcohol, was enough to warrant further sobriety checks.
Staggering Southern Charm: Initially, Kathryn Dennis refused a breathalyzer test. Instead, preferring her chances with a manual intoxication exam, she opted for the field sobriety test. So, stepping from her vehicle, she follows the officer’s instructions.
- In footage acquired by The Daily Mail, she can be seen removing her shoes and struggling to perform. During the toe-heel walking test, she found it impossible to stand still without swaying. The test involving following a finger back and forth also showed signs of intoxication. It wasn’t looking good for Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis, and she was booked on a DUI.
Insisting on Innocence
Despite her failed sobriety test, Kathryn Dennis insisted she didn’t deserve her DUI charge. As she was folded into the back of the squad car, she could be seen insisting she hadn’t done anything wrong. But she had failed the tests, and it was time to come in.
- “I passed that f***ing field sobriety test. This is some b***t. Like, I literally am not drunk,” she can be heard saying.
Throughout the car ride to the station, she can be heard switching from threats to pleading and finally, desperation. At present, she is fighting for custody of her children, but has been losing due to multiple failed drug tests. The DUI she has now been slapped with won’t help her situation.
Now, Kathryn Dennis has a DUI on her record. She has been given a 30-day jail term. Her bond was set at $1,199.50 for the DUI and $257.70.
