For whatever reason, Bryan Martin has been having a hard time mentally. The country singer got drunk during one of his concerts. As a result, he’s ended up having an on-stage outburst.
What Happened: During a show at Schaghticoke Fair in New York, Country singer Bryan Martin went on a bit of a tirade. Slurring into the mic, he went down a drunken rabbit hole. It was a hard watch.
- “Everything that comes out of my song is real. This ain’t no f**king show. This ain’t something nobody can f**king pull a puppet string… make me do anything that they want me to do. This is real… They’ll probably cut me off… But I love y’all,” he stammered into the mic.
At one point, someone tried to take him from the stage, but he was having none of it. He continued to spill his heart and was eventually cut off. Being depressed, drunk, and alone is hard enough. Watching someone go through it live, and on stage, is heartbreaking.
A Police Shaped Intervention For Country Singer Bryan Martin
In the end, the police arrived to remove Bryan Martin from the stage and save him from further embarrassment. They released a statement about the event.
- “During the performance, Mr. Martin displayed signs of intoxication and erratic behavior, which ultimately required him to be removed from the stage. Deputies and event staff attempted to assist Mr. Martin offstage, but due to his impaired state, he became resistant and had to be forcibly escorted out. At first, what appeared to be an act of aggression understandably caused concern among fans and event organizers. However, in the hours following the incident, Mr. Martin acknowledged that he is struggling with alcoholism. This admission shifts the perspective from one of conflict to one of compassion.”
Since the event, Bryan Martin has had a bit of a wakeup call. He has realised how far down that road he had stumbled, and has made the decision to pick himself back up. Sometimes it takes a shock like this for reality to set in.
- In a statement, he has apologized to his fans and addressed his battle with alcoholism. “Sorry I let yall down tonight… truth is I’m not ok… been hitting it hard for a while and haven’t took time to be honest with myself about my mental health and it’s nothing new to struggle with my anxiety and depression.”
He is aware of his problem and hopefully will seek the help he needs, not to have to fight it alone.
