What Happened: While playing his Country show in Oklahoma, singer Braxton Keith took a slosh of beer to the body. Obviously, this isn’t the nicest thing to experience. But it’s part of the job, especially when playing an intimate gig. As a result, he called the show off and left.
Audience Reaction: The crowd was put out. Because of one unruly audience member, the whole show was cancelled. As many people in the comments pointed out, it’s a bad attitude to have.
- “Absolutely a cop out. Luke Bryan got hit in the head with a can and kept singing. Stop the concert and make a note for security to step up. Better be handing some money back to those that didn’t do anything.”
Not The First Time
There have been several other incidents recently where a country music singer has received a beer to the face. Whether it’s an overly drunk, excited audience member or a music critic will never be known. But it’s more common than you think. Most will play on, though.
- Luke Bryan – While playing in North Dakota, the country music singer was pented by a beer. The video went viral, but showed off his professionalism. He could have, like Braxton, called the show off. But, instead, he continued. He was clearly shaken, but continued to perform.
- John Coffey – One of the most legendary beer-throwing situations of all time was with a festival show by Dutch band John Coffey. The lead singer is standing on the hands of the audience, singing and crowd surfing. While standing upright, he sees a cup of beer flying his way. Effortlessly, he catches it and downs it before continuing with the show.

- Braxton Keith – It’s not the first time the country singer has been pelted by beer. Back in April 2025, he received multiple flying projectiles on the stage while performing. None of them hit him, but they were soaking the front rows. Rather than walk out, he admonished the crowd, this time.
