The case centers around a traffic stop made by Oklahoma Police back in May of 2022. Police stopped Jared Michael Harrison, discovering that he had a firearm and marijuana in his possession. AP reports…
Harrison had been charged after being arrested by police in Lawton, Oklahoma, in May 2022 following a traffic stop. During a search of his car, police found a loaded revolver as well as marijuana. Harrison told police he had been on his way to work at a medical marijuana dispensary, but that he did not have a state-issued medical-marijuana card.

Lawyers representing Harrison referred to Supreme Court case New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen that struck down strict New York gun laws last year.
This ruling is a huge victory for guns rights activists, as well as marijuana users across the United States. There are more marijuana users in the United States than ever before, with 49% of adults admitting to at least some pot use in 2021.
In honor of our Constitution, this is a tremendous victory for the fact that government is prohibited in the Second Amendment from infringing upon the right of the people to keep and bear arms. There is no special clause, nor an excuse for the government to violate a citizen’s right to own a gun.
Government’s have used legal language and pretended legislation to attack those who exercise their Second Amendment rights. Because of Constitutional minds placed in the judiciary by President Trump, our rights are slowly returning.
