Thieves are becoming more brazen by the day. What used to happen on a rare occasion is now happening rather frequently. Not only that, but these thieves are also becoming bolder in the items they steal. Recently, a thief stole a 13-foot animatronic right out of a family’s front yard. Now, the family is begging for a “Halloween miracle” to have it returned to them in time for the holiday.

The Details: Avelina Rodriguez received quite the fright after waking up one morning to discover her beloved Halloween decoration missing.
- The Disney-loving family had a 13-foot Jack Skellington animatronic on their front lawn.
- This animatronic is a reoccuring prescence that the NY Post sahred makes an appearance every year “from October to the New Year.”
- Recently, a thief came in the dead of the night and stole the beloved Halloween decoration.
Family Pleads For A ‘Halloween Miracle’

We have all heard of Christmas miracles, but Rodriguez is now begging for a “Halloween miracle.” When speaking with Fox 11, she shared how disheartened her entire family was at losing their favorite Halloween decor.
Luckily, she is surrounded by quality neighbors who were quick to jump into action. Several neighbors approached her, sharing their surveillance footage from the night the 13-foot animatronic was stolen. This brazen thief did not let the decor’s massive size deter them at all.
Instead, the footage shows them carrying the giant animatronic across the yard in the wee hours of the morning and thrusting it on top of their vehicle as if it were a Christmas tree. Rodriguez shared details and her thoughts on the bizarre situation with the outlet.
- “They came at 5 in the morning when they knew it was dark,” she shared.
- Next, she shared how they placed the decoration on the roof of their car, “so they had to have been holding on to this 13-foot Jack the whole time while the other person’s driving? It’s insane!”
I have to agree with Ms. Rodriguez. Theft on its own is insane, but going to such lengths to steal something so massive and complicated to manage is a new level of bizarre. While she and her family are furious that these individuals ruined their holiday tradition, she remains optimistic.
- “It would mean a lot to me — it would be like a Halloween miracle for me. I know there are Christmas miracles, but it would be a Halloween miracle. It would make me really happy and would make my family happy, and it would just go to show that there’s hope,” she told the outlet.
