What Happened: Well, now she’s in trouble with the police for violating her probation. Let’s examine what happened.
- The TikToker in question is Marlena Velez, a popular online creator with 525,000 followers. She once again brushed with the police at the end of September. Officers arrested her for violating her probation.
- On September 29, police spotted Velez driving in Cape Coral in a Kia Sorento. According to Gulf Coast News Now, the TikToker fled the scene. Police decided not to give chase. Fast forward to this Sunday, and police spotted her in the passenger seat of the car.

They pulled over the car where they found her hiding in the backseat of the vehicle. They arrested her for both violating her probation and also for eluding police. It’s unclear what the TikToker initially did to get herself in trouble with the probation.
Prior Offenses Include Shoplifting: However, readers likely remember her for making headlines last year. Last october, police arrested Velez for petty theft. She allegedly stole 16 items from Target, posting a video of the transaction to her account.
- Fast forward a few weeks, and police nabbed her again for allegedly using a phony barcode at the self-checkout of the same Target. She allegedly attempted to take goods worth $225 on that occasion. Rather than drag things out, the TikToker pled no contest to the theft.
- As a result, the courts placed her on a two year probation. They also banned her from stepping foot in another Target. Prior to this, she had been arrested for grand theft auto in 2019 and for shoplifting at a Walmart in 2023.
This latest arrest will add to the laundry list on her record. The courts placed her on a $2,500 bond. She will appear in court to face the music on October 27.
