A former South Carolina Quarterback has collapsed while watching his son’s game.

Who: Connor Shaw, the former quarterback of South Carolina, played for the team from 2011 to 2013. He was the most successful quarterback of all time for the team. He was known for one of their greatest comebacks, pulling the team from a 17-0 disaster against Missouri in 2013.
- Despite having a sprained knee and the flu, Connor Shaw was pulled onto the pitch to work his magic. It was the third quarter, and things weren’t looking good. However, the former South Carolina quarterback pulled out all the stops and amazed everyone with a 201-yard throw and three touchdowns.
However, the former quarterback is now in the ICU but in stable condition after collapsing on the sidelines of his son’s flag football game.
A Brief Scare
Despite being in good health before the game, former South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw collapsed. The 33-year-old was coaching his son’s game at the time of his incident, and had to be taken away in an ambulance.
- He collapsed only 15 minutes into the game and was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Here, he has been under close supervision, but he is apparently in stable condition. He will continue to be monitored by medical staff.
Officials speak: The city has released a statement about the former South Carolina quarterback, wishing him and his family well.
