Frontier Airlines Passenger Removed From Flight After Allegedly Making Drunken Bomb Threat: “It’s Gonna Explode”

A Frontier Airlines flight en route to Denver was delayed by more than two hours owing to an unruly passenger on board. She was reportedly drunk and threatened passengers and staff with a bomb.

What happened: According to a report by the Denver Post, the incident occurred on Frontier Airlines flight 1783 on Tuesday morning. The aircraft was scheduled to depart from Nashville International Airport at 7:30 AM.

  • Per Flight Radar, the plane did not take off until 10:21 AM. It finally reached its destination at Denver International Airport at 11:49 AM instead of 9:33 AM.
  • A woman on board was reportedly drunk, and Frontier Airlines flight attendants told her she could not fly, per the Denver Post. The outlet cites an arrest affidavit that says the woman refused. “I have a ******* bomb, so nobody is going anywhere,” she reportedly threatened.
  • The outlet reveals that Nashville Police arrived at the scene at around 7:50 AM. She was allegedly uncooperative and placed her feet behind her seat so officers could not remove her from the aircraft.

Footage Of The Frontier Airlines Incident Surfaced On Social Media

A two-hour delay: A TikTok video by @juliaadenise allegedly shows what occurred on Tuesday’s flight. The footage shows a police officer pulling a woman out of her seat and onto her feet. “It’s gonna explode”, she shouts as law enforcement escorts her down the aisle.

  • Per the Denver Post, authorities deplaned the aircraft while police conducted a search. Frontier Airlines spokesperson Rob Harris confirmed that they found no bombs on board and passengers were allowed back on board when it was safe.
  • The outlet cites court records, which say the passenger faces charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and false reporting. She is due in court in November.

Another false bomb threat: Per Minq, a passenger on board an Allegiant Airline plane claimed that he had a bomb on board back in July. The threat prompted the pilot to make an emergency stop, and the FBI got involved.

  • The suspect reportedly told other passengers his laptop was a bomb; a claim heard by multiple people on board. A passenger notified staff, who informed the pilot.
  • The flight returned to St. Pete-Clearwater Airport in Florida just minutes after takeoff. Authorities charged the passenger with making a false bomb threat.
