For many years, the name Ryan has ranked among the most popular for people in the US. It’s a safe and solid name that serves both men and women well. As a result, millions of people are called Ryan in the country.

Humble Beginnings: According to their website, the first Ryan meetup was organised in February of 2023. It was put together by Ryan of Brooklyn, who put up a poster advertising the event. It was a small affair with only two other Ryans in attendance. But, she wasn’t put out.

  • Ryan, Ryan, and Ryan decided that they would try again next year, spreading the word among other Ryans. Ryan and co wanted to set the world record for the most people with the same first name in one place.

The next year, they arranged to meet in Ryan Maguire’s pub in NYC. This time around, hundreds turned out for the event. A number of the Ryans were in the media, and quickly, the event spread. Now, they were flocking from all over the country, and the Ryancon went on tour.

Raving Ryan Roundup

Now, the word has spread, and the attempt by Ryan to break the world record for the most people with the first name in one place is becoming a reality. Across the US, various meetups have been held, spreading the word. Now, thousands are part of the community, and the stage is set.

There have been multiple events organized throughout the states, drawing in people from as far as Australia. On the whole, most people have the name Ryan, but there are a few others there for the fun too. The only real rule is that you cannot be called Bryan. Bryans are bad.

Now, they hope to break the world record with the name Ryan. However, they will have to beat the current record set by Ivan in the Balkans. It sits at 2,000 people, but I feel Ryan might have this one in the bag.
