A home intruder was in for a rude awakening after breaking into the home of a MMA fighter’s sister. What’s worse for the intruder is that the fighter was spending the night himself.

What happened: Although the suspect later claimed it was a big mistake, that didn’t stop him from getting a beat down from an MMA fighter.
Fighter Henny Rojas was sleeping at his sister’s home in Wilton Manors, Florida. On Saturday, his nephew woke him up to tell Rojas that someone broke into their home. The intruder was in the living room. According to CBS12, that’s when the MMA fighter sprung into action.
Fighter Speaks Out: He let his fists do the talking.
- “I’m prepared. It’s not my first time; I don’t feel pain. Nothing,” Rojas told the outlet. “I don’t have guns; I wasn’t looking for a knife — just God and my hands, that’s it.”
MMA Fighter Puts Beat Down On Home Intruder
Rojas quickly beat down and subdued the home intruder, Austin Carasani. Police later arrested Carasani, who claims he mistakenly entered the home after a night of drinking. According to Carasani, he had been trying to reach his friend Paul’s house.
It left the fighter’s teen nephew rattled.
- “He was screaming, ‘Mom, call police, someone has broken into the house,’” the MMA fighter’s sister Patrizia Rojas recalled.
Day In Court: Just hours later, Carasani appeared in court with plenty of bruises and welts. For now, he’s sticking with his story. But, that hasn’t stopped the charges from sticking either. The court slapped him with a $20,000 bond. As of now, he’s still sitting in jail.
Meanwhile, Rojas claims they had never seen the man before in his life. The family has no idea why the home intruder decided to break into the house. The MMA fighter is just glad that he was there at the time and could handle the situation.
He would hate to imagine what might have happened if his nephew had been home alone.
“Protect your family,” Rojas said. “There are a lot of crazy people [who] don’t believe in God, who [are] only looking for damage.”
