- San Antonio police spoke with KSAT about the incident.
- They shared, “Police were dispatched just after 3 a.m. Sunday to the 14600 block of Blanco Road, located near West Bitters Road.”
Order Mix-Up At Texas Whataburger Causes 7-Person Brawl
A video that was shared on social media soon went viral. The video showcased the absolute insanity of the moment. The video is graphic, holding nothing back as it shows these grown individuals beating a group of what appear to be teenagers.
The mother of one of the kids who was beaten shared the graphic footage and her thoughts online.
- “At Whataburger(Blanco and Bitters), part of another table’s order was mistakenly brought to my son and his friends, she explained.
- Then, she continued, “Instead of the staff acknowledging their error, they reportedly told the other customers, ‘They have your food.'”
- “Moments later, those individuals confronted my son and his friends, and within seconds, the situation escalated far beyond a simple misunderstanding — to a violent assault.”
Perhaps this group of individuals misunderstood the server’s statement, “They have your food.” Maybe they understood that as this group of teens took their food intentionally? However, even if that were the case, it would not justify this violent outbreak. Photos of the aftermath show the restaurant covered in blood.
Demanding Justice
The scene that unfolded was challenging to watch. Two to three of the adults each targeted one of the kids from the other group and began beating them mercilessly. As the teens were sprawled on the floor, the adults were throwing punches, kicking, and completely unleashing their rage.
- The members of the group that were not being attacked were yelling at those causing the altercation.
- “What are yall doing?” one girl yelled.
- Another warned that the police were called and were on the way.
A majority of the young teens stood back in fear, uncertain of how to handle this bizarre situation. Fortunately, police did arrive at the scene, and it seems like some justice was served.
- The mother shared that “the men seen in the video assaulting these kids, as well as an older woman involved, have all been arrested.”
The Fight For Justice Continues
However, she does not feel that justice has been completely served. She rightfully argues that this 7-person brawl inside the Whataburger should have never happened. Now she wants justice for her son and all the poor children who suffered in this altercation.
What They Want: Here are some of the things the families of the children want to occur.
- “Any business that employs or is affiliated with these individuals should be held accountable and made aware of who they have representing them.”
- “All families involved in these charges will be pressing charges and will not stop until justice is served.”
Finally, this mother took it a step further by finding the social media profiles of everyone involved and sharing them in her post. This Mama Bear is holding nothing back when it comes to demanding justice for her child.
- “The community deserves to know who these people are before doing business with them,” she writes.
