Police Officer Rescues Child From Busy Highway

Police in Eglewood, Denver, were shocked to see a small child running hell for leather down the middle of a highway in the middle of the night.

Like something from a horror movie, the small child was spotted in the dashcam of a police cruiser as their headlight illuminated the sprinting boy. Arms out to their side, they came hurtling past the police officer, practically invisible to passing traffic.

Quick Response: Wasting no time, the police officer put their red and blue on and quickly pulled a U-turn. Bumping through the central divider, they drove into oncoming traffic. A car, speeding down the highway, narrowly missed the child as it swerved to avoid the police car.

• The kid, with no regard for the police, sprinted past the car and continued on their way. The cop had to spin their vehicle around again.
• The child momentarily stopped on the sidewalk when they noticed the lights on them. But, as soon as the cop got out of the car, they started burning shoe leather again. Off they went as fast as their little legs could go. But, this was no slow cop.
• The kid still managed a good 100 meters before they were taken down.

The Great Escape

According to the report, the kid didn’t escape due to the parents’ negligence. They had done everything in their power to try to keep the little rascal imprisoned. According to them, the young man has special needs and is taken care of. He may have special needs, but he’s also got a special talent for escape.

• The family is still learning how to navigate life with their child, and they are doing their best. Police have shown compassion and are assisting with a number of programs they have to help people learn to live with people with disabilities.

The small child sure had a pace on him while running down the highway. I have no idea where he was going, but his energy was boundless, and he had a goal in mind. That kind of dedication should be fostered and pointed in a more productive direction. Run, Forest, Run.
