Anyone who has ever heard the scream of a goat understands how hellish and often human they can sound. A resident, hearing a screaming goat, mistook it for a woman and called the police.

The police, responding to the alert of a bellowing goat, headed towards a train track to locate the woman in distress. They headed toward a train track where the screams seemed to be emanating. All things considered, they were expecting the worst.
The Hunt: The police walked down the tracks towards what they presumed to be a screaming woman. They didn’t know what they would end up coming face-to-face with. It was 8.30 at night and they could hear someone, or something, screaming blue murder.
Coming to the end of the tracks, the police eventually came across a farmhouse. Ready for something dreadful, they banged on the door, demanding to be let inside.
Goat Screaming Blue Murder
The residents in the farmhouse were shocked to hear their door being beaten down late at night. They were peacefully enjoying some time off when they were disturbed.
- “I want to say it was after 8:30 [at night],” Devon Hawes, the goat owning farmer, recalled. “We’re just sitting there watching Netflix, and somebody, all of a sudden, there was a very loud bang on the door.”
The police explained that it appeared that a woman was being brutally murdered somewhere close by. However, when they came face to face with the incredibly vocal 1-year-old Nigerian Dwarf goat, it all came clear.
- “It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood, it’s quiet except for us!” the farmer explained. However, the goat won’t shut up. “I don’t know how to make a goat be quiet. He gets everything he needs. Food, love, all of the things. He’s just got a lot to say!”
The police were delighted to find that they weren’t about to stumble across a grisly murder. Instead, it was just a rather vocal little goat doing its best impression of a woman screaming. It’s easy to see why folklore depicts goats as Satan’s minions when you hear the noise they make.
Honestly, their smell certainly doesn’t help either.
