American patriotism in the US isn’t marked by what you give back to your fellow man; it’s marked by how big your flags are, and one popular burger chain is about to blow everyone else out of the water. Well, almost everyone.

In a recent post on social media, Steak ‘N’ Shake has announced that they plan to erect the largest American flags they’re legally allowed to at multiple stores. They don’t plan to break any local law with their show of patriotism, but they still want to make a statement.

Big and Bold: The law on flag size differs, state by state. Burger restaurant Steak ‘N’ Shake will abide, but still fly the biggest American flags they can.

  • “The flag installations have begun at Steak n Shake. Every Steak n Shake is getting the tallest and biggest American flag that local governments will allow! Steak n Shake proudly supports American values and traditions,” they stated on X.

I am not sure what American values and traditions a massive flag supports, but whatever. The performative patriotism has certainly caught the eye of the internet. Many red-blooded Americans have been getting pumped over their favorite flag flying bigger than ever while they chow down on America’s most famous food.

Mine’s Bigger Than Yours

Steak ‘N’ Shake burger chain might be flying the biggest American flags they legally can. But, they’re still coming in second. Camping World doesn’t care about the law. They fly flags bigger than they’re allowed because patriotism is more important than policy.

True Blue Americans: Both the CEO of Steak ‘N’ Shake and the CEO of Camping World are perfect examples of the values and traditions of America and the American Dream.

  • CEO Sardar Biglari of Steak ‘N’ Shake is an Iranian-born immigrant. He’s made his millions from the land of plenty.
  • Marcus Lemonis of Camping World is a Lebanese immigrant who also made his fortune across the ocean on American soil.

The two of them competing for flag-waving patriotism would make the immigrant forefathers, whose footsteps they have followed, proud.
