What happened: According to a report by Local 10 News, the bizarre incident occurred on Sunday at the Serena Hotel in Aventura, Florida. The woman asked to remain anonymous and told the outlet she met a man, Elmoncy Sercle, at the hotel.
- The woman said in an interview that they initially met up because Sercle planned to buy her sneakers. However, she quickly realized he was more interested in something else. “When I got there, he just wanted to sniff my feet, and I didn’t feel comfortable with that,” she explained.
- The reporter interrupted and asked, “What do you say when someone asks if they want to sniff your feet?” The woman replied, “No! I mean, you can have my sneakers all you want. I mean, I don’t care, I’m not wearing them. They are just stinky old sneakers, but people like weird things.”
The Incident Escalated After The Woman Refused Sercle’s Request
Local 10 News explains that after the woman refused Sercle’s request, he allegedly left the room with her shoes. She claims she chased him to the parking area and confronted him. He responded by hitting her with his car.
- “He did a three-point turn and actually hit me with a car,” the woman claimed. “He ran me over, and by the grace of God, I’m still standing today.” She claims she’s lucky to be alive. “I’ve met a lot of people with foot fetishes. And nobody has ever done anything to this caliber,” the woman explained.
Not the suspect’s first offense: The outlet cites court documents, which confirm authorities charged Sercle with aggravated battery, a second-degree felony.
- Police have reportedly booked Sercle in the past for similar offenses. The woman also claims that parts of the incident were caught on surveillance cameras. According to Law and Crime, Sercle posted bond and is due in court on September 29.
