What happened: According to a report by Local 12, the altercation occurred at Orlando International Airport on May 15. Authorities escorted 22-year-old Kiera Lyons and 31-year-old Maura Flores from Manahawkin, New Jersey, to a police car in cuffs after a tearful exchange with the cops.

News.com.au shared bodycam footage of the incident, which shows how the sisters reacted and what the Frontier Airlines worker said.

The officer speaks to one of the sisters, who claims she has anxiety and depression. She also tells the cop she needs medical attention when he asks.

  • Another woman accompanying the sisters told the Orlando officer, “We were on the plane. She had to use the bathroom.” The other sister interrupts, saying, “And they ask her, they go, ‘Are you intoxicated?” She goes, Yeah, I had a few drinks, and that was it.”
  • The bodycam footage cuts to the Frontier Airlines worker, who was on the floor of the airbridge after the alleged assault. “When they informed me she was intoxicated, I had to call a GSC, which is my supervisor,” she explained. “They started screaming, they were in the aircraft. I got asked to call you guys because they weren’t leaving.”

The Verbal Altercation Allegedly Became Physical As The Drunk Passengers Left The Plane

A scuffle on the airbridge: The Frontier Airlines worker explained that she was following the women off the plane before they turned around and pushed her.

  • “She finally left the jet bridge. I was kind of following them out a little bit,” the worker said. “She turned around, got in my face and said **** you, you fat *****.” The staff worker said she thanked her. The woman then pushed her.
  • “The sister then shoved me again, which I tripped over on this,” she explained, pointing at something on the ground. The officer clarified, “So, both of them hit you?” The Frontier Airlines worker confirmed that both women were involved.
  • The officers questioned the sisters about what happened. One alleged that a male worker had touched her chest. Moments later, authorities placed one of the sisters in cuffs. The other threatens to call a lawyer, saying, “You are not handcuffing my sister.”
  • She starts yelling, and the officers ultimately put both of them in cuffs before escorting them to a squad car.

According to court filings obtained by People, authorities charged both sisters with first-degree battery and second-degree disorderly intoxication.

  • Both were reportedly referred to a PTI program in September. Per Rosenberg Perry, A PTI offers individuals facing criminal charges alternatives to traditional prosecution and penalties.
