Golfers enjoying a few rounds at the Mona Vale golf course in Sydney, Australia, had to call their day off when a plane crashed through the green.

As the plane came flying low over the golf course, bystanders could already tell that it was in trouble. It had very little power and was coming in low over the green. As it made a pass, one of the golfers, who was a pilot, told people to get out of the way.
Footage from the scene shows the plane dip a wing, and begin a rapid descent. As it comes down, the plane loses all power and crashes straight into the golf course, sliding for some meters before coming to a stop.
Amazingly, the small aircraft containing a pilot and student didn’t seem too banged up. The slow descent, combined with the nicely manicured lawns, made for a bumpy but softer impact.

Golfers quickly rushed over to the small plane and helped the two people from the cabin. They were a pilot and a student, both in their fifties. Miraculously, both survived with only minor injuries. Neither lost consciousness, and both can recall the incident in its entirety.
A Close Call For Golf Course Gate Crashers
According to the flight logs, after taking off from Camden, the small plane had started to lose power. Over Palm Beach, they were instructed to head to Long Reef. However, they couldn’t make it with their failing pane. Instead, they brought the plane down in a crash landing onto the Mona Vale golf course.
Amazingly, the two people on the plane were left mostly unharmed. Also, they brought the small aircraft down without hitting any of the golfers. Even the green looked remarkably unscathed. There are long sliding gouges in the grass, but apart from that, everything seems to be in good order.
Bringing a plane down under no power must be a terrifying situation. However, the pilot and his student managed to make it as safe as possible. The plane is most likely a right off, but the two people flying it, as well as the golfers on the ground, all live to see another day.
