The famous twins are being sued by an intern who used to work for them. In a new lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Shahista Lalani claims the sisters made her work extremely long hours without any pay.
Lalani, who was a design intern for MK and Ash’s Dualstar Entertainment Company in 2012, claims in court docs that she worked nearly 50 hoursvevery week and was never compensated, nor did she receive college credit for her work as an intern, which she refers to as “very demanding.”
“I was talking to [the head technical designer] all day, all night,” said Lalani in her suit, adding, “They’re kind of mean to you. Other interns have cried. I’d see a lot of kids crying doing coffee runs, photocopying stuff.” The outraged intern further claims she was even once hospitalized for dehydration. “It was like 100 degrees outside. I’d just be sweating to death. I probably carried like 50 pounds worth of trench coats.”
