Power workers spotted a frantic mother while on the job and ended up saving a young life

NORFOLK, Mass. – A pair of power company workers are being called heroes after saving a baby who nearly drowned.

A mother found her young daughter unconscious in the bathtub of their Massachusetts home. Two power company workers spotted the panicked mother running out of her house desperately looking for help.

The men were trained in CPR and knew exactly what to do.

“Shortly after I started, the baby coughed up a little bit of water,” said Tony Depina, “I just kept doing it and more and more water came out of her nose and her mouth until the EMT showed up.”

Firefighters say the girl is likely alive because the two workers were there.
