Annabelle Earl is a 4-year-old girl from Brooklyn, and she might be more of a romantic than you are: all she wants to do is be a flower girl; all she needs is a wedding.
So, she and her mother headed down to the City Clerk’s office in Manhattan, where thousands of New York lovebirds tie the knot each year. The youngster was dressed in a rose-print dress, wore white lace gloves, and carried a dozen pink and purple roses, according to NBC News.
The best part? Her sign that read: “Can I be your flower girl?”
After a “no thank you” and many smiles with no bites, Annabelle started to ask couples if she could be in their wedding — and she found just the pair.
“She was too adorable to say no to, and we thought it would be fun to make her day as well as ours,” a bride, who did not want to be identified, told NBC News.
Annabelle’s favorite part of the day was giving the bride the bouquet of flowers she had bought at a bodega, and she plans to go back to City Hall in the future.
“It made me happy,” she said.
