The chimps had been used in laboratories for experiments and kept in cages for 30 years.

When they first muster up to courage to step outside one turns around and hugs another as if to say “we’re free.”

While not their African home, the Gut Aiderbichl sanctuary in Australia allows them roam free.

Their reactions are truly priceless.
