During his youth in Detroit suburbs, Rock’s first love was his childhood sweetheart, Kelley. They had an on-and-off relationship for ten years and even have a child together named Robert James Ritchie Jr born in 1993. Despite mostly raising his son by himself, Rock eventually allowed his ex to see their son more often after a child custody lawsuit was brought up when Robert Jr was young. Balancing parenthood and pursuing a music career was undoubtedly challenging, but Rock managed to handle it well.
Jamie King
According to a 2000 Rolling Stone article, Kid Rock was in a relationship with model and actress Jaime King. The musician’s affinity for blondes and women named Jaime was evident to his fans. The duo first met while they were both in other relationships. Although King initially attended the Grammys with him as a friend, they later became romantically involved. However, their relationship was short-lived, lasting only a few months.
Jamie Pressley
In 2004, Kid Rock was romantically linked to Jaime Pressly, an actress known for her role in the TV show My Name Is Earl. They reportedly ended their relationship due to their busy schedules, but Pressly later revealed to Us Weekly that they remained on good terms even after the breakup.
“We’re both working a lot, and I can’t fly across the country and give up everything,” she stated. “But we’re still best friends, and we talk every day. Maybe someday we’ll get married!”
Pamela Anderson
In 2001, Kid Rock began a relationship with Pamela Anderson quickly getting engaged the following year but eventually splitting up. After the breakup, Rock was linked to Pressly, but he and Anderson reconciled and got married in 2006. Unfortunately, their marriage was short-lived as Anderson filed for divorce later that same year after experiencing a miscarriage.
During an appearance on Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern Show to promote her ew memoir, Anderson shared why she knew her marriage to Rock was “doomed” from the start. Anderson had previously been married to Tommy Lee, with whom she shares two sons aged 25 and 26, before marrying Rock in 2006. Anderson revealed on the show that she had known their marriage was unlikely to last from the moment they tied the knot.
“Tommy and I… had this incredible connection. But then you jump into something and it’s like, ‘Oh, it’s not this incredible connection, it’s just something else,’” Anderson stated. “Then I slowly try to find my way out.”
Audrey Berry
After his divorce from Anderson in 2007, Rock met his longtime girlfriend, Audrey Berry, as reported by The Detroit Free Press. Despite being together for a decade, they have kept their relationship relatively low-key, with Rock explaining to Piers Morgan in 2011 that Berry wasn’t used to his high-profile lifestyle.
“This is somebody who is not a celebrity. It can really be a tough thing to deal with,” he said. “I’m thinking of somebody else, trying not to be so selfish.”
In 2017, it was confirmed that they were engaged when Berry was spotted wearing a diamond ring at Rock’s Chillin’ the Most cruise. Although Berry doesn’t feature much on Rock’s social media, she did accompany him on a visit to the White House to see President Trump, where Sarah Palin was also present.
In a 2015 interview with Q magazine, Kid Rock revealed that he honored his girlfriend on his album First Kiss with a song.
“I like the way you hold my hand/And play just like my baby grand,” the lyrics read. “I like how you don’t give a damn/And love me just the way I am.”
“Life is so much simpler being with one girl,” he said at the same interview. “Now I’m not chasing chicks around I’ve got so much more free time.”
