A tragic car accident has killed three of the famous TV family from Meet The Putmans, a TLC show.

The TV show, aired on TLC in 2017, introduced the world to the Putmans, a gigantic family of 25. The team lived together in one household, with Bill and Barb holding the fort down with their four children, their spouses, and their numerous grandkids. However, a fatal car accident has killed three of the tight-knit family.
- The car accident occurred in a rural area of Cass City in Detroit. As Bill and Barb, with a number of their relatives, drove through the area, a semi-truck ran a red light. Careening into the side of their vehicle, it killed Barb, Bill, and their daughter, Meghan, at the scene.
- Meghan’s husband and their three kids were also in the car, along with niece Gia. All five were airlifted to various hospitals for treatment. Here, some of the members of the TLC show Meet The Putmans have been reported to be in critical condition.
The catastrophic car accident has shaken the other members of the Putman family.

The family has issued a press release, making official their personal tragedy. The response has been vast from fans and peers alike. The famous Putman family, known through their TLC appearances, has been rocked as a result of the death of their relatives.
Public Statement: Soon after their tragic news, the Putmans reached out online. In spite of their personal grief, they felt they should inform their fans.
- “I come to you with a heavy heart, asking for your prayers. Our family was in a tragic car accident, and we lost Papa, Neenee, and Aunt Megan. They have gone home to be with the Lord. Please keep Uncle Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noah, and Gia in your prayers as they remain in the hospital. We are asking for complete healing and strength for each of them.”
- They then process their grief with scripture and wishes of holy absolution for their lost family members.
- Continuing, they ask for people’s thoughts and prayers for the members of the Putman family injured in the car accident.
The TLC show Meet the Putmans ran for one season in 2017.
