88-Year-Old Missouri Man Caused Deadly Crash By Driving Wrong Way On I-170

Tragedy has struck St. Louis County, Missouri, after a Missouri man caused a deadly crash by driving the wrong way on I-170.

The Details: First Alert 4 shares that four people were found dead on Monday afternoon following a horrific accident. Here are some of the details.

  • The driver who caused the accident was an 88-year-old man.
  • The Missouri man was driving the wrong way on I-170.
  • “The accident occurred at approximately 1:05 p.m. on the northbound lane of I-170 just before I-70.”

Missouri Man Caused Deadly Crash

Reports indicate that the Missouri man who caused the deadly crash was “traveling southbound on the northbound lane.” First Alert 4 shared that he was driving a Chevrolet and struck a Jeep. A total of four cars were involved in the tragic accident.

  • The Chevrolet hit the Jeep.
  • This, in turn, caused the Jeep to overturn and later be struck by a Nissan.
  • After the Chevrolet hit the Jeep, it was hit by a Toyota.

Unfortunatley, the driver of the Jeep, along with the two passengers, were all pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Chevrolet, the man who caused the accident, was taken to a nearby hospital. Unfortunatley, he was also pronounced dead later.

None of the identities of the drivers or passengers has been released.

Car Crashes On The Rise?

This is not the only terrifying and tragic car crash to have happened lately. Recently, actor and celebrity photographer Brad Everette Young was also killed in a tragic car crash. Similar to the Missouri man who caused this deadly crash, Young was struck by a vehicle driving in the wrong direction. Young died on the scene; he was only 46 years old when he passed.

Additionally, a recent car crash occurred at a daycare in Rhode Island. The Child Care Plus Learning Center in Coventry, RI had quite the scare when a car crashed through the fence of its playground. Fortunately, none of the children playing on the playground were reported to have life-threatening injuries.
