Paris Hilton is a well-known media personality and businesswoman. However, even her most ardent fans may not know there are mini fridges for sale with her branding on them. This could be a blessing in disguise, as some of the fridges are being recalled, owing to a fire hazard.

What happened: The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted details about the recall on September 11. There are reportedly about 110,000 affected units, and owners can seek a refund.

  • The items in question are called “Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridges.” The recall affects the four and ten-liter models. Smaller fridges come in pink, hot pink, aqua, and white, while the larger items are available in pink and white.
  • Only units manufactured before August 2024 are reportedly affected. The Paris Hilton branding is usually visible on the door in the lower right corner. The logo can also be on the “top middle.”
  • The CPSC reveals that the electrical switch can short-circuit in the affected units. A short-circuit can lead to overheating and pose a fire hazard and burn risk.
  • Epoco International sells the units and is reportedly aware of “27 reports of the mini fridge overheating and catching on fire.” The recall notice notes that no injuries have been reported. However, some users have documented property damage.

Where Where The Affected Fridges Sold?

Dates and locations: The fridges were available to purchase from Walmart and Ross. Customers could also buy them on Walmart.com, Amazon.com, and other websites from November 2022 to July 2025.

  • CPCS also notes the prices of each model. The 4-liter fridge was sold for roughly $30, and the larger model was around $60.
  • The press release says that consumers should immediately stop using the fridges and unplug them. Customers must fill out a form on the Epoca website, fill out an online form, and provide pictures to initiate a refund.

Another recall: Dr Pepper issued a recall of 19,000 cases of its drinks back in June, per Minq. The affected cans of pop were labelled as “Dr Pepper Zero Sugar.” However, the drinks contained 39 grams of sugar, just like the original version.

  • The blunder was potentially dangerous for consumers who monitor their sugar intake for medical reasons. The FDA revealed that the company shipped affected cans to Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
